An exhibition of the Ministry of Innovative Development opens in Uzbekistan Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai
23:20 / 2022-03-26

Expo 2020 Dubai gathers almost 200 states.

On September 30 last year, at the opening ceremony of the exhibition, thousands of actors and professional groups demonstrated performances that lasted 90 minutes.

The exhibition in the city of Dubai of the United Arab Emirates is visited daily by 2.5-3 thousand, and on weekends by 5-6 thousand people.

Along with other world-class events, the coronavirus pandemic prevented this prestigious exhibition from being held on time in 2020.

The exhibition, which runs for 182 days – until March 31, 2022, demonstrates achievements and innovative developments in science, technology, and art.

1,739 square meters have been allocated for the Uzbekistan pavilion. The exhibition presents the historical milestones of the development of our country, the achievements of recent years, the strategy for further development of Uzbekistan.

“We seemed to be in Uzbekistan” – this is how Uzbekistan pavilion’s visitors respond.

At the opening ceremony of the exhibition of the Ministry of Innovative Development in Uzbekistan National Pavilion, Deputy Minister Shakhlo Turdikulova noted that the exhibits, scientific developments, products are examples of small and large achievements of the work of representatives of science, scientists of the country.

Such words as a start-up, technopark, accelerator, venture, which have come into circulation in Uzbekistan in recent years, have acquired legal status. These terms have taken on a specific format. The country has begun to create an innovation ecosystem.

Scientists around the world are engaged in such issues as the protection of human life, the elimination of environmental problems, the prevention of economic crises, the introduction of digital technologies, and the development of artificial intelligence. It should be noted that our specialists are also engaged in research in these areas.

The National Pavilion also widely presents projects to prevent drought, soil salinization, salt storms resulting from the drying up of the Aral Sea – a problem that has long gone beyond the borders of Central Asia. These projects are a kind of call for the people of the planet to plant trees and transform thousands of kilometers of the seabed that have turned into a desert into a flowering garden.

It is no secret that the coronavirus pandemic has called everyone to unity. Scientists of Uzbekistan are making their contribution to the fight against this disease. They create test systems, develop vaccines and treatments. The exhibition provides detailed information about the work carried out in this direction.

Within the framework of the exhibition, a presentation of unique products manufactured by residents of the Yashnobod Innovation Technopark will be held daily for a week. In particular, these are the technique of subsoil and drip irrigation, biologically active additives from medicinal plants, medical and food products.

It is planned to hold a technological marathon TecnoWays in the pavilion, aimed at identifying and supporting gifted youth. Active participants of the event will be awarded a special prize.

Participation in such a large-scale prestigious exhibition contributes to a wider representation of Uzbekistan to the whole world, and, at the same time, is a unique opportunity to study international experience in various areas and find like-minded partners.
