An exhibition, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Honored Artist of Uzbekistan Tachat Ogasenov’s birth has opened at the Academy of Arts.

As is known, the 50-60s of the latest century became a time for the fine arts of Uzbekistan for the development of new genres and the formation of the national school of painting. 

Honored Artist, Professor Tachat Amayakovich Oganesov is one of the recognized portraitists of Uzbekistan of the second half of the XX century. The artist focused on creating images of modest, hardworking and sincere people. He sought to find the exact pictorial embodiment of each of his portrait ideas, to give it an emotional coloring, to reveal the essence of the created image.

Since 1954, T. Oganesov has been teaching the basics of graphics and painting for many years at Tashkent State Theater and Art Institute named after A.N. Ostrovsky (Kamoliddin Behzod National Institute of Arts and Design).

At the exhibition, visitors can get acquainted in detail with the works of Tachat Oganesov.
