President chaired a meeting on the priority tasks of building residential buildings in “Yangi O’zbekiston” (New Uzbekistan) neighborhoods and implementing the mortgage program in 2023.

New houses are built from building materials of domestic production. However, half of the almost 3,000 companies producing reinforced concrete, which has a significant impact on the quality of construction, do not have laboratories. Last year, more than 1,000 cases of low-quality reinforced concrete and welding work, as well as the installation of load-bearing structures, were defined in housing construction.

Responsible persons were instructed to approve the action plan for the creation of modern laboratories at all reinforced concrete companies.

In recent months, seismic activity has been observed in the world and our region, therefore, starting May 1:

– an engineering and geological examination of the selected land plots will be carried out before launching the construction;

– construction of buildings and structures with increased seismic safety requirements, such as bridges, tunnels, and high-rise buildings, is carried out only by companies with categories “A” and “B” in the electronic rating of Construction Contracting Organizations.

It was noted that the city’s drainage system is in poor condition. The Ministry of Construction, Housing and Communal Services and the Tashkent City Hokimiyat were instructed to adopt and implement a program to address this issue within two weeks.

At the meeting, the responsible persons provided information on the agenda issues.
