Our great ancestor, statesman, and incomparable commander Sahibkiran Amir Timur was born on April 9.

This date is widely celebrated in Uzbekistan every year.

It is well known from historical sources that Sahibkiran was the patron of science, enlightenment, culture, architecture and urban planning. The brilliant rise of these spheres, as well as fine and applied arts, literature, poetry, music, made it possible to create the foundation of the Second Renaissance in the East, having taken an important place in world civilization.

The name of our great ancestor is directly related to honesty, courage, perseverance and wisdom.

These days, many educational institutions, military units, libraries, museums, art centers of Uzbekistan are holding conferences, educational events, roundtable discussions, exhibitions in memory of the great Sahibkiran and the Timurid Empire, their role in world history and civilization.
