As previously reported, on April 7-9 this year, members of the delegation led by the Hokim of Surkhandarya region Ulugbek Qosimov in Hungary held talks with representatives of leading companies in this country.

During the trip, organized with the assistance of the Hungarian Embassy in Uzbekistan, an agreement was signed between the Doppelmayr company and Denov Oltin Don LLC, operating in Denau district, on the implementation of a project to construct an aerial cableway worth 10 million euros.

Construction will be carried out in the famous village of Sangardak, located among the picturesque mountains of Sariasiya district. Received the status of a “tourist village”, Sangardak gained fame thanks to the fantastic beauty of nature and a unique waterfall. Last year, a modern sanatorium was built here. The future cable car will allow to admire the local beauty and waterfall from the heights of the mountains, called the “Niagara of Uzbekistan”, and will also ensure an increase in the tourist flow.

As part of the project, a special observation deck, passages and stairs leading to it, guest houses of light construction, a restaurant, areas for horseback riding and camel riding, sports, family picnics, games, and dancing will be built at the top of the gorge. In addition, there will be special selfie zones.

“We have discussed all the details of launching the project with our partners from Hungary, and we will begin work soon”, said P. Mirzayev, head of Denov Oltin Don LLC. The project is scheduled to be put into operation this year”.

The cable car, which will connect the two sides of the gorge, will be 1200 meters long.
