A delegation led by Finnish Minister for Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade Ville Skinnari visits Uzbekistan.

Representatives of large Finnish companies visited the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Company and the Kalmakkir and Yoshlik-1 deposits. They are planning to exchange experience with entrepreneurs of Uzbekistan, use innovative technologies in training specialists, and introduce advanced technologies in the development of the mining and metallurgical industries.

The plant has been cooperating for several years with Metso Outotec, a company specializing in the production of modern equipment for the mining and metallurgical industry. A contract for 100 million euros was signed for the supply of process equipment for the third copper enrichment plant. A Cooperation Agreement was signed with this company for the development of a project for a newly created Metallurgical Plant. A decision was made to create a coordination group of Metso Outotec as part of the plant to accelerate the construction of the sulfate-acid shop No. 6 and the metallurgical complex being built on the territory of the third copper processing plant and zinc plant.
