On November 3, Inha University in Tashkent (IUT) hosted an event where the U.S. expert Stas Khirman from Openbucks held a third videoconference for students on “Introduction to the Silicon Valley Ecosystem”.
Stas Khirman is an investor, a serial entrepreneur and co-founder of three Silicon Valley startups. He is also a Managing Partner of TEC Ventures, an early stage, technology and venture fund, based in the Silicon Valley, and a founder of TEC Club, a network of thousands of high-tech professionals, investors and angels from all over the world, with the headquarters in the Silicon Valley.
The American expert described the ecosystem of Silicon Valley in detail and provided a comparative analysis on the nominal value of GDP. He also shared positive and negative experiences in creating startups. Moreover, he noted that it is possible to get into the famous Silicon Valley, and gave advice on starting an internship.
