About 40 ambassadors of Uzbekistan abroad have visited the State Plant Quarantine Inspection.

As noted at the meeting, in 2020, 2 million 86 thousand tons of regulated products were exported, 122 887 phytosanitary certificates were issued. Quarantine permits were obtained for the export of 99 products to 26 countries of the world. Agreements were reached on the export of all types of agricultural products to 52 countries of the world based on phytosanitary certificates.

The participants got acquainted with the work of the automated information system “E-Fitouz”. A tour to the Central Quarantine Laboratory was also organized.

Following the event, the ambassadors inspected a mobile laboratory designed to prevent stagnation of export-oriented vehicles at the border.

At the meeting, bilateral agreements were identified. Proposals and recommendations aimed at increasing the diversification of exports, opening new foreign markets for Uzbekistan and ensuring the production of clean phytosanitary products from the country were considered.
