Ambassador of Italy to Uzbekistan Agostino Pinna and Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Italy Otabek Akbarov have visited Technopark in Tashkent’s Yashnabad district.

Ambassadors got acquainted with the production facilities created here, products manufactured jointly with Italian companies and discussed further expansion of joint investment projects.

Italy’s Pietro Fiorentini in Technopark has launched the production of modern gas meters under the Osten brand. The project was launched in February 2020. The annual production is 3 million gas meters. The project cost is $50 million.

Most of the parts for gas meters are produced here. Electronics and motors are imported from Italy.

The guests were shown a presentation on the activities of the Technopark and further projects with Italian companies.

It was noted that by the end of 2021 it is planned to launch 11 more large investment projects aimed at organizing the production of import-substituting and export-oriented products.
