The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, with deep sorrow, announces the death of Vitaly Fen, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Korea.

Ambassador Fen was an outstanding statesman and professional diplomat who devoted his entire life to serving the Motherland. He headed the diplomatic mission of Uzbekistan in Seoul for 25 years and significantly contributed to the development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea. He left an indelible mark on the strengthening of Uzbekistan – South Korea ties.

Vitaly Fen was awarded the orders “Fidokorona Khizmatlari Uchun” (For dedicated services) and “Mehnat Shuhrati” (The fame of labor), as well as the South Korean order “Gwanghwa”.
