The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Tokyo has organized a meeting with the President of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Shinichi Kitaoka.

The parties discussed issues of bilateral interaction in the implementation of projects under the Official Development Assistance program.

Mr. Shinichi Kitaoka congratulated on the successful performance of Uzbekistan sports team at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, which showed impressive results in boxing, taekwondo, judo and weightlifting competitions.

The parties voiced promising areas of cooperation, including projects in agriculture and water management, education, development of the Aral Sea region, employment of Uzbekistan citizens in Japan.
