Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Latvia Timur Rakhmanov has presented his credentials to the President of Latvia, Edgars Rinkēvičs.

The parties discussed the current state and prospects for developing cooperation between Uzbekistan and Latvia.

The President of Latvia highly appreciated the state of political dialogue and bilateral trade and economic cooperation between Riga and Tashkent. He emphasized that by the end of 2023, Uzbekistan had become one of Latvia’s most significant trade and economic partners.

A high assessment was given to the large-scale reforms carried out in Uzbekistan. It was noted that all EU countries welcome their results.
