During the conversation that followed the official ceremony, it was emphasized that Portugal supports large-scale reforms in Uzbekistan, dynamically and consistently carried out under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa warmly noted his meeting with the President of Uzbekistan within the framework of Belt and Road summit in Beijing in April 2019 and expressed his deep respect and best wishes to Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The President of Portugal spoke in favor of further strengthening mutually beneficial partnership during the exchange of views on the agenda of bilateral cooperation, a wide range of issues of interaction within the framework of regional and international structures.
