Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Spain Jakhongir Ganiyev has met with the Secretary-General of the UNWTO Zurab Pololikashvili.

The parties discussed the implementation of technical assistance projects, in particular, the China-UNWTO South-South Cooperation Assistance Fund project, the attraction of technical assistance from the organization to improve statistical data in tourism, implementation of the One Planet Sustainable Tourism Program and others.

The UNWTO Secretary-General expressed his sincere gratitude to Uzbekistan leadership for the active development of the tourism industry. He confirmed the commitment of the organization to provide comprehensive assistance to the development of Uzbekistan tourism industry and support the international initiatives of the country, which are aimed at the development of national and global tourism.
