Ambassador of Uzbekistan to India Dilshod Akhatov has met with the Special Secretary at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India Bidyut Behari Swain.

At the event, views were exchanged on the issue of ensuring the effective implementation of the agreements reached following the 12th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission (IGC) on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation.

In particular, an agreement was reached on organizing regular negotiations between importers of products made in Uzbekistan, which are in great demand in India, and Uzbekistan producers.

A meeting will be organized with representatives of the Directorate General of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India to discuss the organizational foundations for establishing systematic export of agricultural products produced in Uzbekistan to India.
