Ambassador of Uzbekistan Dilshod Akhatov has met with the newly appointed Minister of State for External Affairs of India, Meenakshi Lekhi.

It should be noted that Meenakshi Lekhi is also the Minister of State for Culture of India.

The parties exchanged views on the current state and prospects of Uzbekistan – India relations.

The sides discussed the results and practical significance of the High-Level International Conference “Central and South Asia: Regional Connectivity. Challenges and Opportunities”, which took place on 15-16 July in Tashkent.

Recognizing the importance of developing cultural and humanitarian ties between the two countries, the parties noted the importance of signing a five-year cultural exchange program between the governments of the two countries.
