Ambassador of Uzbekistan Dilshod Akhatov has met with the Director General of the Bureau of Indian Standards Pramod Tiwari.

The parties discussed the current state and prospects of cooperation between Uzbekistan and India in standardization, certification and technical regulation.

The Director of the Bureau positively assessed the work carried out in standardization and certification in Uzbekistan, including in attracting advanced innovative technologies to the sphere, as well as the practical results achieved.

It was noted that the mutual recognition of certificates of conformity of products between Uzbekistan and India will facilitate export-import operations between the two countries and create ample opportunities for entrepreneurs.

An agreement was reached to conduct joint research on standardization and certification of consumer goods.
