The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Japan Mukhsinkhuja Abdurakhmanov met with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of Japan, Taro Aso.

The parties discussed issues of further development of cooperation.

They noted the special significance of the historic visit of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Japan in December 2019, which opened a new milestone in relations and confirmed mutual interest in enhancing and deepening strategic partnership.

Taro Aso congratulated the people of Uzbekistan on the 30th anniversary of the country’s independence, as well as the successful performance of national teams at the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Tokyo.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to support dialogue on the development of interaction.
