Ambassador of Uzbekistan Ravshan Usmanov has met with Attorney General of Malaysia Idris Harun.

The Attorney General of Malaysia highly appreciated the ongoing process of modernization in the country and noted the readiness to establish mutually beneficial cooperation with the General Prosecutor’s Office of Uzbekistan.

The parties also discussed issues of strengthening cooperation in crime prevention, exchange of experience in rule-making, as well as training and retraining prosecutors.

At the meeting, the importance of further enhancing the legal framework of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Malaysia in the above areas was noted.

Following the talks, an agreement was reached on organizing a visit of representatives of the General Prosecutor’s Office of Uzbekistan to Malaysia to exchange best practices and take advanced training courses.
