Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Japan Mukhsinkhuja Abdurakhmonov has met with Muneo Suzuki, a Member of the House of Councilors of the Japanese Parliament.

The deputy highly appreciated the current level of cooperation, which received a powerful impetus during the official visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Japan in December 2019.

According to Mr. Muneo Suzuki, the results of the telephone conversation between the leaders of Uzbekistan and Japan in May this year once again demonstrated mutual interest in building mutually beneficial cooperation between the two states.

The parties discussed issues of further development of cooperation, including in the inter-parliamentary sphere, as well as the establishment of collaboration between Uzbekistan and Hokkaido prefecture – Muneo Suzuki’s constituency. An agreement was reached on working out the issue of organizing a working visit to Hokkaido prefecture to hold meetings with the leadership and businesspeople of the region.
