The Ambassador of Uzbekistan Bakhrom Ashrafkhanov has met with the Director of the Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park, Elshad Nuriyev.

Elshad Nuriyev noted that the creation of industrial zones is one of the key directions of the Azerbaijan government’s policy aimed at developing the non-oil sector of the national economy. 

Concerning the issues of Uzbekistan – Azerbaijan cooperation, the parties expressed a common opinion about the presence of great potential for interaction. An agreement was reached on the implementation of measures aimed at promoting mutually beneficial ties in agriculture, industrial cooperation, as well as between entrepreneurs of the two countries.
