Addressing the Fourth Forum of Analytical Centers “Central Asia – China”, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to Uzbekistan Rakhmonzoda Abdujabbor Aziz noted the strengthening of cooperation between China and Central Asian countries.

In particular, the diplomat stressed that thanks to the wise policy and will of the leaders of the region’s countries and China, friendly relations have significantly strengthened in recent years, and a new effective interaction mechanism has been created.

In this context, Rakhmonzoda emphasized the role of research institutes in strengthening cooperation, stating that “holding a Forum of Analytical Centers regularly with the participation of Chinese and Central Asian experts allows to discuss in detail the most pressing issues for further promotion of multifaceted cooperation and fill the existing good-neighborly, partnership relations with fresh ideas, taking into account new realities in the region and in the world”.

The event, organized by the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan together with the Institute of Russian, Eastern European and Central Asian Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, is attended by over 40 heads and experts from about 20 leading research and analytical centers, heads of diplomatic missions of the People’s Republic of China and Central Asian countries in Uzbekistan.

The forum is being held to implement the initiative of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, announced in May 2023 at the Summit of Heads of State of China and Central Asian countries in Xi'an.
