Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Uzbekistan Amira Fahmy got acquainted with the activities of the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism in Samarkand.

The Ambassador has met with the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Minister of Tourism and Sports, Rector of the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism, Aziz Abdukhakimov.

The Rector informed the guest about the conditions created in the higher education institution, and about the educational process.

The Ambassador delivered a lecture to students and professors of the university on Egypt’s tourism potential, the education system and other areas.

“We intend to develop cooperation for teaching Arabic at the university. Therefore, we have put forward proposals for the supply of literature in Arabic. We are also planning to establish an exchange of teachers and professors. I am sure that if we effectively implement these projects, then our cooperation will develop at a new level”, said Ambassador Amira Fahmy.
