The Oqtog-Tomdi reserve, located 500 km from the center of Navoi region, was created by the resolution of the Head of state. The total area of the reserve is 40 thousand hectares.

20 inspectors and researchers are conducting research here to protect representatives of the flora and fauna included in the Red Book of the Republic of Uzbekistan. According to the research results, 33 plant species and 23 animal species have been identified in the reserve.

A two-story house was allocated for the staff of the reserve in the territory of Tomdibuloq village in Tomdi district. To prevent offenses and facilitate the work of inspectors, it is planned to allocate 12 walkie-talkies and drones to them.
