Istanbul hosted a Turkic News Agencies Media Summit on “Alliance in Media and Vision for Future”.

The event was attended by the Director General of Anadolu Agency Serdar Karagöz, the Chairman of the Board of Azerbaijan State News Agency (AZERTAC) Vugar Aliyev, the Director of Kabar – Kyrgyz National News Agency Mederbek Shermetaliev, the Chairman of the Board of the State Media Holding of Kazakhstan “Kazcontent” Bekzat Jusupov, Director General of Uzbekistan National News Agency – UzA Abdusaid Kuchimov, and the Head of the Communications Department of the Presidential Administration of Türkiye Fahrettin Altun, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Kubanychbek Omuraliev, and other high-ranking guests.

The event participants emphasized the importance of cooperation between the leading media structures of the Turkic states in the exchange of information and the leading role of the alliance in the preservation and popularization of the common heritage and culture of the Turkic world.

Following the summit, a declaration was signed between the heads of media agencies of five states on establishing the Alliance of Turkic News Agencies.
