The Presidents of Azerbaijan and Türkiye met in Samarkand within the framework of the Summit of the Organization of Turkic States, Trend News Agency reports.

The successful development of friendship and cooperation based on the allied relations of the countries in all sectors was emphasized during the talks.

Issues of the situation and security in the region were discussed, and views were exchanged on the results of the Sochi meeting held at the end of October.

As previously reported, on October 31, talks were held in Sochi between the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, the President of Russia Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan on the settlement of relations between Baku and Yerevan.
