Alisher Navoi’s creativity – unsurpassed example of human genius

A solemn event dedicated to the 581st anniversary of the great thinker and poet Alisher Navoi’s birth took place at the Alley of Writers in Tashkent.

At the event, Chairman of the Union of Writers of Uzbekistan, People’s Poet Sirojiddin Sayyid noted that the works of Alisher Navoi are always in the spotlight of literature fans all over the world.

It was emphasized that in recent years the issue of studying the heritage of our great ancestor has been raised to a new, higher level. Unprecedented work has been carried out on the publication, translation of his works into foreign languages, promotion of their essence and meaning.

The head of the Alisher Navoi International Public Foundation, a Navoi scholar Olimjon Davlatov, a researcher at the Alisher Navoi Institute of Uzbek Language, Literature and Folklore, a Navoi scholar Burobiya Rajabova told about the great attention paid in the country to the Navoi heritage in the process of creating the foundation of the Third Renaissance.

Turkish scientist Vahid Turk noted that Navoi's works, thanks to the ideas of humanism, justice and nationality contained in them, appeal to book lovers, and are studied with great interest by scientists all over the world.

Scientist Rakhimboy Jumaniyozov read excerpts from the most famous works of Alisher Navoi.

Navoi scholar from Herat (Afghanistan) Azizullo Orol noted that even though Navoi lived in the XV century, he is still with us.

Songs on the poet's ghazals were performed at the event. The participants laid flowers at the monument to Alisher Navoi.

On the same day, a poetry contest and several events were held at the monument to the great thinker on the territory adjacent to the Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature named after Alisher Navoi.
