Alisher Navoi and the Eastern Renaissance
22:22 / 2024-02-09

On the occasion of the 583rd anniversary of Alisher Navoi’s birth, the Third International Symposium “Alisher Navoi and the Eastern Renaissance” was held at Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies.

This event was held in collaboration with Alisher Navoi International Public Foundation and the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

It was noted that, at the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, good efforts are being made to study the heritage of our great ancestors, especially Alisher Navoi.

At the symposium, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Uzbekistan Huseyn Guliyev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Türkiye to Uzbekistan Olgan Bekar, and others noted that Alisher Navoi is an excellent figure of Turkic literature, he sang in his works the friendship of the Turkic peoples. He called on the people of the whole world for solidarity.

It is no coincidence that the symposium is held at this university. The works of Alibek Rustamov, Aziz Kayumov, Suyima Ganiyeva, and other Navoi orientalists in studying the work of the poet-scientist are unique.

At the international symposium, Navoi scholars from different countries discussed in detail further prospects for studying and promoting the heritage of the great poet Alisher Navoi.
