Uzbekistan and Italy. In recent years, political and inter-parliamentary dialogue between these two countries, trade-economic and investment cooperation, and exchange of experience between ministries and agencies responsible for the direction of technological and industrial development have significantly accelerated.

Our countries’ approaches within the UN, EU, OSCE, and other influential structures are close. The development of cooperation in socio-economic, cultural, and other humanitarian spheres also directly serves the interests of our people.

Italy’s interest in Central Asia has been increasing in recent years. Therefore, this country is one of the most important and time-tested reliable partners of Uzbekistan in Europe.

As a logical continuation of consistent dialogue, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will visit this country on June 7-9 at the invitation of the President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella.

In this regard, UzA Correspondent interviewed Alessandro Tomada, the founder of the Italian company Atlas Industrial Transport. Mr. Tomada shared his thoughts on the current state of economic cooperation and the economic potential of Uzbekistan:
