Samarkand hosted the session of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

It was attended by heads and members of delegations of the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly, representatives of international organizations, scientists, experts, journalists – more than 500 people in total.

“Several prestigious forums are being held in Samarkand at the same time”, says a member of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia on Regional Issues and Issues of Eurasian Integration Aleksey Sandykov. – The event with the participation of representatives of the CIS member states is organized at a high level. Uzbekistan surprises every time with the scale of preparation. Samarkand has become the center of prestigious, global events at the international level. The transformations taking place in the last six months are impressive. The CIS states, of course, are independent, each has its way. However, cooperation and exchange of experience are mutually beneficial. This international forum plays an important role both in the life of our countries and in the life of the region.
