In particular, the development of the draft National Strategy for Human Rights until 2030 was noted, and the importance of sharing experiences in the preparation and implementation of national action plans and strategies in this area was emphasized.

China recognizes both the universality and specificity of human rights. With the improvement of people’s living standards, China stands for the development of democracy, the preservation of peace, the promotion of human rights protection in the development process, and the expansion of international human rights protection programs.

Vice President Jiang Jianguo highly appreciated Uzbekistan’s progress in the field of human rights and described the intensive and comprehensive reforms in this area as unprecedented transformations. The international initiatives of the Republic of Uzbekistan, including the adoption of 15 resolutions of the UN General Assembly on various aspects of human rights, were highlighted, which indicates the country’s growing authority in the international arena. In particular, the adoption of a resolution “International Day for Dialogue among Civilizations”, developed by the People’s Republic of China and the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The sides noted with satisfaction the progressive development of bilateral relations between national human rights institutions.
To further deepen cooperation, several concrete plans were agreed upon, in particular the study of approaches to implementing national strategies and action plans in the field of human rights, as well as the organization of regular joint seminars and conferences on pressing issues of the international and national human rights agenda, including contemporary challenges such as the protection of rights in the digital space and the safeguarding of the right to a favorable environment.
The parties expressed confidence that the implementation of these agreements will contribute to strengthening the bilateral dialogue, exchanging best practices, and developing effective mechanisms for the protection of human rights in both countries.
