Weightlifting competitions were held at the Summer Olympic Games in Paris. Uzbekistan’s Akbar Jurayev participated in the weight category up to 102 kilograms and took second place.

Akbar recorded a result of 185 kg in the snatch of this weight category, and 219 kg in the clean and jerk. He lifted a total of 404 kg and won the silver medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Thus, the number of medals the Uzbekistan sports delegation reached is 5 gold, 1 silver, and 3 bronze.
