The third Tashkent International Book Fair is being held at the Uzexpocentre complex on the initiative of the Agency for Information and Mass Communications.
The event is attended by heads, officials and specialists of almost 100 responsible agencies and organizations from 10 foreign countries, as well as representatives of 46 foreign publishing houses and book trade organizations.

The Agency for Information and Mass Communications hosted a meeting with the President of the Russian Book Union, Sergey Stepashin, who arrived as part of a fair. At the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation was signed between AIMC and the Russian Book Union.

According to the memorandum, the parties will cooperate in the development of information, library and cultural cooperation, strengthening the authority of the book and popularizing reading, familiarizing the international community with the literary heritage, history and culture of Uzbekistan and Russia.
