Employees of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Guangzhou took part in the “Health Bay Area Dialogue – 2024” conference on medicine and pharmaceuticals.

The Chinese International Medical Cooperation Center for the Belt and Road held the event.

The conference was attended by the heads of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Cooperation Development Council, the Guangdong Hospital Association, more than 300 medical institutions, educational institutions, pharmaceutical and insurance companies of the province, industry specialists, and experts.

Diplomats of the Consulate General presented information at the event on the reforms carried out in Uzbekistan aimed at improving the healthcare sector.

The event participants were very interested in the modernization of medical institutions in Uzbekistan, the introduction of an insurance system, the complete digitalization of the industry, and providing the population with high-quality and safe pharmaceutical products.

On the sidelines of the conference, agreements were reached on the implementation of joint projects in Uzbekistan in 2025, the development of cooperation between research centers, and the development of participation of large Chinese companies in forums, conferences, and exhibitions organized in Uzbekistan in healthcare.
