Tashkent hosted a meeting of the Minister of Energy Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov with General Manager at China Electric Power Equipment and Technology Co.Ltd. Yu Jun.

At the meeting, ongoing projects and plans were discussed, while special attention was paid to strengthening relations.

It was noted that the company is engaged in the construction of high-voltage and low-voltage networks, substations and generating capacities, providing electricity to 1.1 billion people (83 percent of the population) in 26 provinces of China.

The company carries out business operations in more than 40 countries in Asia, Africa, South America, the Middle East, Europe and other regions. In total, more than 200 projects have been implemented in design, construction, supply and service.

Mr. Yu Jun stated that he is ready to explore the possibility of building high-voltage networks and substations in Uzbekistan in the terms of design, construction, financing and turnkey delivery.

Following the meeting, the parties signed an agreement on accelerating cooperation in this direction.
