According to Uzbekistan MFA, an agreement was reached on the agenda of the International Conference “Afghanistan: Security and Economic Development”, to be held in Tashkent.

The conference will include speeches by the heads of delegations. Major projects for the development of Afghanistan and its integration into international processes carried out by the Republic of Uzbekistan will be presented.

In particular, issues of the construction of the Tashkent – Mazar-i-Sharif – Kabul – Peshawar railway, the Surkhan – Puli Khumri power grids, the establishment of a large international transport and logistics hub for the provision of humanitarian assistance, the activities of a training and educational center for training citizens of Afghanistan in the city of Termez, were discussed.

Following the conference, the communiqué of the host country will be announced.
