A delegation of 19 Afghan doctors arrived in Uzbekistan on January 5 to participate in the program of a scientific and practical workshop on “Prevention and treatment of coronavirus infection”.

Afghan medics, who arrived from various provinces of the country, met with the leadership of the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan. For three days, they attended training courses organized at Tashkent Institute of Advanced Medical Education to obtain theoretical knowledge on COVID-19 treatment.

Afghan doctors also visited the infectious diseases hospital in Zangiota district of Tashkent region to learn practical skills.
