It was attended by the Heads of state bodies and non-state non-profit organizations that are members of the Advisory Council, as well as representatives of the Independent Institute for Monitoring the Formation of Civil Society and the mass media.

The meeting was chaired by the Head of the Advisory Council, Chairman of the Committee on Democratic Institutions, NGOs and Civil Society Institutions of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan A.Saidov.

Summing up the activity of the Advisory Council for 2018, A.Saidov noted that over the past 4 months all organizational tasks have been successfully resolved. Working and expert groups have been established to ensure the activities of all 12 commissions of the council. Employees of the Independent Institute for Monitoring the Formation of Civil Society are assigned for each of the commissions for mutual coordination.

Real results were obtained practically in all directions stipulated by the decisions of the first meeting of the Advisory Council.

One of the most important areas of implemented activities became monitoring the effectiveness of dialogue with people and solving problems concerning them, affecting the social well-being of the population in the regional divisions of the ministries of health, public education, pre-school education, housing and utilities, employment and labor relations.

Proposals on organization of a permanent scientific and methodological workshop on the issues of development of civil society under the Independent Institute for Monitoring the Formation of Civil Society and opening relevant scientific educational laboratories at the regional offices of this institute were prepared.

Information on preparation and organization in 2019 of regional training workshops on the issues of implementation of public control and activities of public councils under government bodies was presented.

Relevant decisions were taken on all the issues considered at the meeting.
