The Surkhandarya regional round of the show contest “Assiduous Girls” has taken place in the city of Termez.

Held as part of the execution of the National Program “Year of the Healthy Child”, the event is organized by the Women’s Committee of Uzbekistan jointly with the Ministry of Public Education.

As the terms of the contest suggest, the participants demonstrated their skills and knowledge with regard to President Islam Karimov’s book “High Spirituality Is an Invincible Force”.

“The inclusion of this work into the terms of the competition has a deep meaning,” says M.Kabulova, deputy hokim of the Surkhandarya Region and chairperson of the regional branch of the women’s committee. “In the era of globalization, this book helps raise the spiritual-ethical qualities of the younger generation, nurture it in the spirit of love and devotion to the Motherland, respect for national values as well as the profound realization of the fact that mass culture contradicts our national values and customs.”

The teams “Barchinoi” from Denau District, “Oitumor” of Sariasiya District and “Nafosat” of Sherabad District came first in the contest. The team of Jarkurgan District was second, while that of the city of Termez was awarded the third place. The best girls of the triumphant teams are to take part in the national round of the competition.
