At the ongoing Asian Weightlifting Championships in Bahrain, a member of the Uzbekistan national team Adkhamjon Ergashev became the absolute champion.

Uzbekistan’s talented athlete from Namangan, who competes in the 67 kg weight category, recorded a result of 138 kg in the clean and jerk, and 176 kg in the snatch, lifted 314 kg in total and became the Asian champion. None of the athletes who competed with him could come close to his result.

Athletes from 29 countries are taking part in the Championships. It will run until October 16.
