Samarkand hosted a meeting with the participation of the Chairperson of the Art and Culture Development Foundation of Uzbekistan Gayane Umerova and the SUEZ Director General for Europe and Central Asia Paul Bourdillon.

Following the talks, a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation was signed between the two organizations. The document is intended to strengthen partnership within the framework of the Aral Culture Summit in climate, nature, and social development.

The Aral Culture Summit, initiated by the Art and Culture Development Foundation of Uzbekistan, aims to solve the environmental and social problems of the Aral Sea region through the implementation of large-scale educational, scientific, and cultural programs.
