The famous international expert – President of the Russian State University for the Humanities, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, Member of the Council of the Russian Historical Society, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Efim Pivovar, discussing the theme of amending the Constitution of Uzbekistan, emphasizes the special significance of the process for our countries:

– The upcoming nationwide referendum on amending the Constitution to be held on April 30 this year, is an extremely important event for Uzbekistan.

In the new Constitution of Uzbekistan, much attention is paid to the protection of human rights, as well as the expansion of the rights of women and children. Amendments are also proposed to strengthen civil liberties, including protecting media rights and supporting civil society.
