The popular chess platform Chess.com, which brings together amateurs and professionals from around the world, has published a list of the year’s top events, the strongest grandmasters, promising young chess players, and nominees across ten categories.

The game played by Grandmaster Nodirbek Abdusattorov against Jorden van Foreest in the fifth round of the Tata Steel Masters 2025 tournament, held in the Netherlands, was among the contenders for the “Game of the Year” title. In the “Strongest Chess Player of 2025” category, Javokhir Sindarov, the winner of the 2025 World Cup, was recognized.
