During the visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the United States, several significant agreements were reached, reflecting the growing influence of Uzbekistan on the international stage. These achievements, as Senator Abdurakhim Erkayev emphasized, testify not only to the country’s political weight and economic potential, but also to the deep respect of the international community for the Uzbek people, their hard work, and their aspirations for a worthy future.

“To date, 13 initiatives of Uzbekistan have received the support of the international community and have been distributed as official UN documents. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev consistently raises not only issues of the country’s political authority, but also pays special attention to economic development and the improvement of people’s welfare, putting forward new initiatives and strengthening international cooperation”, Senator A. Erkayev noted. “A vivid example of this was the meeting with the leadership of the American corporation Boeing, which resulted in the signing of a contract worth over $8 billion for the supply of 22 modern Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft”.
The deal carries strategic significance, including for the growth of tourism flows to Uzbekistan.
The event received wide international attention. In his address, U.S. President Donald Trump emphasized that Shavkat Mirziyoyev is a “man of his word”, with whom he had repeatedly discussed various areas of cooperation. The American leader congratulated Uzbekistan on the signing of the historic contract and noted its importance to the United States as well, as the agreement is expected to create around 35,000 jobs.
“These words demonstrate, first of all, a deep sense of gratitude, and secondly, that the U.S. Leader highly values the trade and economic activity of our country. Such an assessment not only confirms the growing authority of Uzbekistan on the international stage, but also reflects profound respect for the Uzbek people, their hard work, and their aspiration for progress and a worthy future”, stressed Senator Abdurakhim Erkayev.
