Abdumalik Khalokov, a member of the Uzbekistan national boxing team, Asian Games winner, and continental and world champion, reached the podium at the Olympic Games.

Khalokov competed with Kyrgyz Munarbek Seitbek Uulu in the final decisive match in the weight category up to 57 kilograms and won. Abdumalik Khalokov won his first Olympic gold medal.

The Uzbekistan delegation won 7 gold, 1 silver, and 3 bronze medals at the Olympic Games.
