On 26 July 2021, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Canada with residence in Moscow, Alison Mary LeClaire, Uzbekistan MFA reports.

Accepting the credentials, the Minister congratulated the Ambassador on her appointment to a responsible post and expressed hope that her professional experience will contribute to further development and strengthening of Uzbekistan – Canada cooperation.

The state and promising areas of multifaceted relations were discussed, ways to expand the joint agenda were considered during the conversation.

The parties noted mutual interest in intensifying the regular political and economic dialogue, in particular through political consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries, deepening inter-parliamentary ties and enhancing trade-economic and investment cooperation.

Views were exchanged on other issues of regional and international policy.
