On 25 June 2021, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov held a meeting with the Secretary General of the Turkic Council Baghdad Amreyev, Uzbekistan MFA reports.

Uzbekistan’s FM congratulated Baghdad Amreyev on the successful holding of the meeting of the Ministers of Tourism of the Turkic Council in Kokand (Uzbekistan). The parties noted with satisfaction the decision to declare Kokand as the first tourist capital of the Turkic world.

The state and prospects of multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Turkic Council, as well as issues of further strengthening the organization's activities, were discussed during the conversation.

The importance of implementing the initiatives forwarded by the heads of state during the informal online summit on March 31 this year in Kazakhstan’s Turkestan, was emphasized.
