Abdulaziz Kamilov meets with the Foreign Secretary of Nepal

On 12 July 2021, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received Nepal’s Foreign Secretary Bharat Raj Paudyal, who arrived in Tashkent to attend the High-Level International Conference “Central and South Asia: Regional Connectivity. Challenges and Opportunities”, Uzbekistan MFA reports.

The agenda of cooperation in political, trade-economic, tourism, cultural-humanitarian and other spheres was discussed at the meeting.

The parties emphasized their readiness to continue cooperation within the framework of international and regional organizations, as well as other multilateral structures.

It was noted that Uzbekistan stands for giving an additional impetus to strengthening trade-economic ties between Central and South Asia, including with Nepal.

The Nepalese side noted that it attaches great importance to the upcoming conference and believes that its results will contribute to the rapprochement of the two regions.

Other issues of mutual interest were also considered during the talks.
