Abdulaziz Kamilov meets with South Korea’s Prime Minister

On November 26, 2020, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov met with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea Chung Sye-kyun, Uzbekistan MFA reports.

At the meeting, Uzbekistan’s FM noted that friendly and trusting relations between the leaders of the two countries are the basis of bilateral cooperation, which has the character of a special strategic partnership.

Intensification of trade-economic and investment cooperation between Uzbekistan and South Korea was noted. As a result, the number of joint ventures established in Uzbekistan has doubled in recent years.

Mutual interest was expressed in further enhancing cooperation in science, education, information-communication technologies, digitalization of the economy and introduction of green technologies.

Special attention was also paid to issues of cooperation in the healthcare and pharmaceuticals. The importance of implementing joint projects in this direction to combat coronavirus infection and other epidemiological challenges was noted.
