On November 27, 2021, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, in Ashgabat, Uzbekistan MFA reports.

The state and prospects of bilateral relations in various areas were discussed during the talks. The main attention was paid to the interaction of the two countries within the framework of international and regional organizations.

Issues of implementation of interregional transport-logistics projects aimed at increasing the volume of trade turnover and intensification of trade-economic ties were considered.

The importance of consolidating efforts to resolve the Afghan crisis, as well as providing humanitarian and other assistance to the country was noted.
